Trio of Skyhawks are representative of VA-45 during 1971-73. Lead TA-4J is typical of the parent squadron at NAS Cecil Field. The A-4C is from Det 11 and the A-4E Det 1 which deployed in Intrepid in 1971 and 1972 respectively. The pilots are CDR John ‘Pygmy’ Paganelli, CO VA-45, LCDR Larry ‘Worm’ Elmore, O in C Det 11, and Cdr Raoul ‘Smiley’ Alvarez, O in C/Co Det 1.
