Vagabond Reunion - August 1996

Vagabond Reunion - August 5, 2000
At the VMA-225 Y2K reunion held in Raleigh, North Carolina, former Vagabond Commanding Officer Bob Baker awards the Navy Commendation Medal to Bob Paul. Paul was cited for his heroic action during a fire at the Chu Lai, Vietnam hot refueling pits July 9, 1965. Thirty four VMA-225 Chu Lai veterans attended the reunion.

Vagabond Reunion - August 5, 2000
Angelo Lemme is shown being congratulated by Frank Sokol after receiving the Navy Commendation Medal from VMA 225 Commanding Officer Bob Baker at the Reunion in Raleigh, North Carolina. Lemme was cited for his heroic action during a fire at the Chu Lai, Vietnam hot refueling pits on July 9,1965. Lemme was medevaced to the Army Burn Center in Texas where he spent the next 18 months recuperating from his wounds.
