Lieutenant Byers is a jet transition student who formerly flew the HH-60H Seahawk with Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron EIGHT at Naval Air Station North Island, California. During Advanced Strike Training Byers earned a Navy "E" for bombing accuracy.
