is a 1998 graduate of the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He was named to the Commodore's List during Primary Flight Training and earned three Navy "E's" for bombing accuracy during Advanced Strike Training. In 1998 he received his Masters degree in National Security Studies from Georgetown University. He was awarded the Academic Achievement Award in Primary and Intermediate Flight and was named to the Commodore's List, with Distinction, during Primary, Intermediate and Advanced Flight Training. Additionally, he was designated a Distinguished Naval Graduate. During Advanced Strike Training he earned four Navy "E's" for bombing accuracy. He carrier qualified January 25, 2001 in the Boeing T-45C Goshawk on board the United States Ship DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN-69).


Lieutenant Junior Grade SHANE ARLAN LANSFORD, United States Navy Reserve
is a 1997 graduate of the University of California at Davis where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Civilization. During Advanced Strike Training he earned two Navy "E's" for bombing accuracy. He carrier qualified January 25, 2001 in the Boeing T-45C Goshawk on board the United States Ship DWIGHT D. Lieutenant EMERSON GAIO ROBERTO, Brazilian Navy
is a native of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil. He is a 1992 graduate of the Brazilian Naval Academy where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to commencing jet transition flight training in 1997, Lieutenant Roberto was winged as a helicopter pilot with the Brazilian Navy in December 1996. He flew theT-34C in Uruguay and the AT-26 in the Brazilian Air Force prior to reporting to VT- 7 in May 2000. During Advanced Strike Training the earned two Navy "E's" for bombing accuracy. He carrier qualified January 25, 2001 in the Boeing T-45C Goshawk on board the United States Ship DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN-69).
