LCDR Gerry Stark was killed aboard the U.S.S. Forrestal
on July 29, 1967 during a flight deck fire.
Gerry Stark, Fred White and Denny Barton were the only pilots to
die that day, all from VA-46. Dave Dollarhide was the only one
in his flight of four to live.
