Headlines: Aircraft head-on collision avoided by quick thinking Cargo Master!
PSA reported today that one of their L-1011 Aircraft narrowly avoided a head-on collision with an Air Force Cargo Aircraft
due to the quick actions of Air Force Cargo Master Dudley Doright. Unfortunately Sergeant Doright did not have time to lower
the rear ramp of his aircraft, and the L-1011 did lose its wings and tail just as it touched down.
The passengers on the L-1011 were, however, very grateful for the unique landing experience, and the Air Force
says that PSA can have their wings back if they will provide paint for the Air Forces new static aircraft display.
